I am Morgan Stone Grether and this site serves a playground and a showcase for my experiments in digital art, music, and writing. 

One focus of these projects has been dynamic generators, creating content and meaning on demand for people from random data. 

This includes random band names, story plots, love lyrics, and more.

It’s called the Palatine Hill photo blog, and I’ll be updating it from time to time whenever I feel I had a good pic or two to add.  I have a bunch of backlog too, for that matter that I’ll trickle up there.

You asked for it, you got it.  Forgeries: A brand new collection of cover songs from yours truly, Stone Grether. 

I had so much fun doing this—and fun was the only reason for doing this—that I plan on making a collection like this every year now. A new tradition is born!

More music all the time, that’s the motto here, right? Today I have for you a new eight-song EP: Portland Unconscious: Live in Portland, 5 July 2010.

We have some originals, some covers, and because it is off a bootleg, the audio quality leaves a bit to be desired. But still, enjoy!

Much to my annoyance, it turns out my beloved science fiction plot generator was failing on several mobile devices (e.g., the iPhone and iPad), and so I have completely rebuilt it under the hood to rectify the situation. The generator is now found at this location:
